I'm applying to Ringling College of Art and Design to study Computer Animation. They require to send a portfolio with mostly drawings from life (gestures, still lifes, and anything from observation). This is what I have so far. Any comments or critiques are welcome :).

Hey there! I'm a Ringling Student Ambassador and wanted to leave you some feedback! : ]
These are really great.. I love the variety in subjects and all of the little "field sketches."
I'm personally a big fan of line-work. Although a few of your pieces have some value, you could definitely add a little more contrast. Even to your quick studies!
Also just by changing the width of your line you can add a LOT of interest to your pieces.
Check out James Jean's sketchbook section if you haven't already:

Just by changing the width of his line, the viewer can easily differentiate between the shadowed side and the side that light hits.
He gives his subjects volume without depending too much on value and focusing more on the line. Similar to what i've seen from you here!
Hope this helps.. : ]
